Housing for Sony PWM-200
The SEALUX HDP200 is a safe, tailor-made housing for the professional PMW-200 FullHD 4:2:2 camcorder made by Sony. This means it is one of the smallest and lightest aluminium underwater housings on the market for the PMW-200. With this housing our main focus has been on operational versatility. A window on the top surface allows comfortable viewing of the display whilst shooting videos near the bottom of the sea or a lake. There are 3 additional sockets to connect external devices: 1 x HDMI and 2 x two-pole sockets, for an analogue monitor, for example, and a hydrophone (optional). The basic model features screw plugs instead. The back was designed to provide enough space for the larger BP-U60 rechargeable battery for longer video shoots. In the event of failure of the housing electronics, all the camera functions, except the menu functions, can be operated manually.
As a whole, the dimensions of the housing were optimized so that it fits inside a piece of standard hand luggage with the grips detached. The interchangeable wide-angle lenses stand out for a maximum degree of flexibility and the highest optical quality possible. The smooth combination of both electronic and mechanical operation is a guarantee of perfect operability in any situation. All function elements are sealed twofold and up to fourfold. To provide the highest degree of safety is our command.
Made from seawater-resistant aluminium, CNC milled from a monobloc, anodized in black (anti-reflex) and powder coated on the outside as well for maximum ruggedness.
The four quick-action locks incorporate safety-devices. Back sealed with a large precision o-ring.
Port Changing System
The standard housing comes with a flat port made of optical glass. A bayonet joint with safety lock allows easy replacement of the flat port with the high-grade wide-angle optics made by Fathom or with a dome port for the Sony VCL-EX0877 wide-angle converter lens.
The grips are ergonomically adjustable and detachable for transport in the carry case.
The solid carry handle is detachable to minimize packing size and can be mounted crosswise (for improved display vision) or lengthwise.
Suitable for comfortable viewing at an angle of 10° relative to the swimming position. A detachable lens-hood protects the viewfinder optics against sunrays.
The camcorder is mounted on the tripod base and secured at the front, thereby allowing easy replacement of the rechargeable battery and memory card.
The reliable RX5 IR control system allows activation of the following functions:
Manual functions on the right
Manual functions on the left
White Bal key
Zebra, Peaking, FullAuto, Assign 1-4, Picture Profile
White Bal switch
Audio level CH-1
Functions at the back

Coated close-up lens/ Red filter
Can be swivelled in front of the housing both with a flat port and a high-grade wide-angle port. Also, a red filter can be fitted instead of the close-up lens.
Underwater sounds are recorded via a high-quality electret microphone.
Two moisture alarms monitor the well-being of your camcorder, with an acoustic warning signal at the front and an acoustic and optical warning signal at the back.
